Patients all over the city are wondering if chiropractors are open in Calgary. Well, as of February 2021, the short answer is yes, they are open, but there’s more to know about regulations set forth by the provincial regulator and government officials in regards to booking appointments. That is, you must book an appointment in advance (right now, no walk-ins are allowed).
For some people, chiropractors are primary healthcare providers. As such, many have remained open over the past several months because many chiros, like Dr. Battershill at Revelation Health Centre, feel it is their job to be of service to the public, even during critical times like now!
The restrictions we’ve all been living under throughout 2020 and 2021 in some instances have taken a serious toll on the physical and mental health. Is it time you get back into see your chiropractor?
Chiro Clinic Procedures Helping You Feel Safe
Chiropractors in Calgary who are open for business are required to follow several procedures as outlined by the Alberta College and Association of Chiropractors and the provincial government. Some of those include:
Reducing or Eliminating seating in clinics
Chiropractor clinics are helping people stay socially distanced by reducing or removing clinic seating.
Ensuring that not many patients are booked at once time helps keep everyone safe and physically distanced from one another
Patients are now required to fill out a “symptom” form and pass with flying colours upon entering the office. Any wrong answer will require the patient to reschedule another time and after getting tested.
Some chiropractic clinics have introduced barriers of sorts to help people stay socially distanced and apart from one another.
Masks are, of course, now mandatory for all patients visiting a chiropractic in Calgary that’s open and ready to serve
What if You Have Symptoms?
Patients who already have an appointment booked and may feel unwell or sick can cancel at no charge at Revelation Health Centre.
Keep in mind that the aforementioned measures are in place for public safety, as well as the safety of the chiropractors and their staff so they may remain open and can continue to help patients with musculoskeletal problems such as back and neck pain, tennis elbow, and others of the sort.
By rigorously following these procedures above (and several others not listed), both patients and chiropractors can interact with one another safely and without too much concern.
It may very well have been several weeks or even months since the last time you got adjusted by your chiropractor. Your neck may be hurting, or perhaps your back is a bit sore from shoveling all the snow off your driveway and sidewalks.
The COVID-19 pandemic and its restrictions have been tough on us all. That doesn’t mean you have to endure any injuries or symptoms you are experiencing, because your local chiropractor is indeed open!
Just remember to book an appointment. Advanced screening methods are also in place to ensure the health and safety of all patients and staff at chiropractic clinics across the province.
